Currently the rent coverage is one of our biggest support needs.

Your financial support helps cover the costs of rent, utilities, travel and other basic needs.  It helps maintain the monastery and support the monastics.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE GIVEBUTTER DONATION PLATFORM BELOW (and tipping):

Givebutter is the platform used for safe processing of your financial information.  Although it is a free service for non-profits, there is an option to tip to support their service.  The tip in the form defaults to 12%.  If we didn’t include the option to tip, a 1% fee would be applied to all donations.  You can change the amount of the tip to a set dollar amount by selecting ‘Other’ in the list to the right of ‘Add a tip to support Givebutter’s free fundraising service.‘  You can then type in an amount of $0 or $1 or $5 or whatever amount you wish.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PROCESSING FEES:

Financial processors have a fee for each transaction. This form will automatically adds the processing fee.  Example: a $50 donation will have a $1.08 processing fee.  If you want that to come out of the donation, when you get to the second screen, please click ‘Edit‘ next to the processing fee amount and you can uncheck ‘I want to cover fees’.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PAYPAL USERS:

You will be able to pay via PayPal using the GiveButter form below. Please select your dana amount in the form below and click ‘Continue’. Once you have confirmed the amount, you will have the option to pay via PayPal.

If you are not able to use Zelle or Venmo, a check may be mailed to Passaddhi Vihara (email info@passaddhivihara.org for the mailing address).  While we are waiting for the non-profit status to be completed, checks should be made out to Michelle Raymond with a memo indicating the donation is for Passaddhi Vihara. Checks will be deposited into Passaddhi Vihara’s support account.

Your support joins that of others in making monastic life possible in today’s world where rent, utilities, … etc are part of maintaining a monastic dwelling and where furnishings, lighting, and office supplies help make the monastery a functional space.
