Winter Retreat 2025 (Dec 26th - April 6)
Passaddhi Vihara Bhikkhunis’ Retreat Intentions
Monastics, there are roots of trees [and supportive viharas].
Meditate, lest you regret it later.
Even though Passaddhi Vihara is less than a year old, the support is present for us to turn from worldly concerns and take time of silence and seclusion toward the aim of wisdom and understanding.
Our intention is to make Passaddhi Vihara a supportive container for secluded retreat.
We will support each other to have two periods of three week retreat each at the Vihara. The bhikkhunī not in seclusion will continue the online Dhamma sharing, receive the alms meals for both bhikkhunīs, and maintain the Vihara so that the monastic in seclusion has no duties and can focus on meditation and study.
We intend to keep more silence, an atmosphere of Dhamma mindful/purposeful speech, and increase meditation and Dhamma study.
We rejoice in this opportunity to support each other and the support of many that makes it possible to deeply retreat.
